1. Information We Collect

PassBorder collects minimal information necessary to operate the service:

• Device Identifier: A randomly generated anonymous device ID stored in your Keychain, used to apply remote configuration and manage license validation. This ID contains no personal information.
• Purchase Records: When you purchase credits or a license key through Paddle, Paddle processes and stores your payment information. We receive only a transaction confirmation, not your payment details.
• App Usage Configuration: Anonymous settings such as your selected AI provider and language preference, stored locally on your device.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, passport information, visa applications, or any personal immigration data you enter into the App.
• The content of your AI conversations or document drafts.
• Your location, contacts, or any other device data beyond what is described above.
• Analytics or crash reports are not collected without your explicit consent.

3. How Your Data is Stored

All personal data you enter into PassBorder (profile information, visa documents, interview notes, deadlines) is stored exclusively on your Mac using standard macOS file storage and the macOS Keychain for sensitive items like API keys. This data never leaves your device to our servers.

4. iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync within the App, your PassBorder data may be synced across your Apple devices via your personal iCloud account. This data is governed by Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy and is not accessible by EMPTINESS AI DEVICE LTD.

5. Third-Party AI Providers

When you use AI features, your queries are sent directly from your device to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, or Alibaba). These providers may retain query data according to their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing:

• Anthropic Privacy Policy (for Claude)
• OpenAI Privacy Policy (for GPT-4o)
• Google Privacy Policy (for Gemini)

If you use a company-provided API key distributed through the App, your queries are subject to the same provider policies above. We do not log or store the content of your AI queries.

6. Remote Configuration

At startup, PassBorder fetches a remote configuration file from our server (emptiness432.ca) to check for feature flags, app version requirements, and company-distributed API keys. This request includes your anonymous device ID and a security token. No personal data is transmitted.

7. Payment Processing

Payments are processed exclusively by Paddle.com, a third-party payment processor. When you make a purchase, your payment information is handled by Paddle and is subject to Paddle's Privacy Policy. We receive only a purchase confirmation and do not store your credit card or billing information.

8. Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to delete from our servers. To delete your PassBorder data, simply uninstall the App and delete its associated files from your Mac. For any data in iCloud, you can delete it through your iCloud settings.

9. Children's Privacy

PassBorder is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
